VNN Report
The New Prairie Men’s Cross Country Team competed in the IHSAA Chesterton Regionals at Sunset Hills Farm County Park on October 19th.

The team placed 3rd among a field of 10 qualifying teams (90 runners).

New Prairie placed 3 runners in the top 20 to earn All Regional status (Tim O’Laughlin 1st, Josh Baltes 7th, and Quinn Beall 14th). Josh and Quinn both finished higher than their All-Sectional positions last week. Tim O’Laughlin, The Pale Runner, made his signature move midrace to separate from the competition. On this sunny day, Tim was able to fend off all competitors to claim his Regional Championship by 13 seconds and solidify his entrance into the Semi State at NP. The New Prairie Boys will race at the IHSAA Semi State next week at New Prairie HS. They will be aiming to finish in the top 6 teams as they go against 20 qualifying teams plus another 40 qualifying individuals from 4 Regionals in our ¼ of the state.
