The New Prairie Cougars Ladies’ Varsity Golf won their final dual match of the season defeating non-conference rival Marquette 149-209 on the par 30 Michigan City North Course. Coach Bruce Watson, ladies’ coach was pleased with the results. Their score of 149 is consistent with past efforts equating to around 180 on a par 36 course. All players were excellent representatives of their school and community. Sophomore Jaiden Winters was medalist with a 35, followed by Freshman Jenna Bauman 38, Freshman Jayden Flagg 38, Senior Jordan Winters 38, and Freshman Bella Beall (playing in her first varsity match) 58. JV scores were Senior Zoie Martinez 42, Freshman Hannah Kole 51, Sophomore Macaria Tierney 52, Sophomore Ann Nelson 57 and Freshman Maddie Gilpin 59.
The win moves New Prairie to a 11-6 overall record. The Cougars compete in the state qualifying sectional Friday at Beechwood.
