The New Prairie Cougars Ladies’ Varsity Golf finished 4th out of 16 teams at the Pat Ford Invitational. Coach Bruce Watson indicated that the score of 374 was the 2nd lowest 18 hole score in the 49 years of golf at New Prairie. It was also the lowest score for any New Prairie Team at the Pat Ford. All players were excellent representatives of their school and community. Senior Jordan Winters and Sophomore Jaiden Winters (sisters) shot identical 91’s, followed by Freshman Jenna Bauman 95, Senior Zoie Martinez 97, and Freshman Jayden Flagg 108. Watson also commented that the team improve from 11th place last year and a score of 429. It is really satisfying to see all their hard work paying off for them.
The Cougars compete Saturday in the NIC tournament at Eberhart-Petro Golf Course.
