The NPHS boys had a great day at Sectional Finals at Mishawaka High School. Competing for the Cougars were: Seniors Nolan Szymanski, Dalton Thomas, and Jacob Wood, Juniors: Neiman Graham, James Hall, and Wrigley Hemphill, Sophomores: Landon Farmer, Niles Graham, Gabe Groves, Andrew Sturgeon, and Mason Young, and Freshmen: Owen Keller, Griffin Long, Trent Platz, and Ethan Radtke.
The 200 Medley Relay team of Wrigley Hemphill, Neiman Graham, Mason Young and Dalton Thomas finished 2nd place with a new school record time of 1:38.45.
In the 200 free, Mason Young finished in 2nd place, Trent Platz 10th place and James Hall 12th place.
In the 200 IM Neiman Graham finished 7th, Gabe Groves 8th and Landon Farmer 13th.
In the 50 free Dalton Thomas finished 6th, Trent Platz 12th and Ethan Radtke 13th.
In diving Nolan Szymanski finished 2nd and qualified for the Diving Regional on Tuesday evening at Mishawaka High School; Owen Keller finished 12th.
In the 100 fly Wrigley Hemphill finished 5th with a new school record time of 54.47, Gabe Groves 8th and Andrew Sturgeon 15th.
In the 100 free, Mason Young finished 4th, Dalton Thomas 8th and James Hall 13th.
In the 500 Landon Farmer finished 10th, Jacob Wood 13th and Niles Graham 14th.
The 200 free relay team of Dalton Thomas, Neiman Graham, Gabe Groves and Mason Young finished 2nd with a new school record time of 1:29.87.
In the 100 back Wrigley Hemphill finished 3rd with a new school record time of 53.45 and Griffin Long finished 14th.
In the 100 breast Neiman Graham finished 7th with a new school record time of 1:02.41 and Jacob Wood finished 14th.
The 400 free relay team of Landon Farmer, James Hall, Gabe Groves and Wrigley Hemphill finished 3rd.
The 3rd Place overall finish at Sectionals is the best ever finish for the New Prairie team! The boys set 5 new school records today and had many new PRs to go along with the new PR times from Thursday. Great job boys!! Your coaches are all so proud of your hard work and dedication! All of that hard work paid off with the way you competed at Sectionals!
