The New Prairie Boys Soccer ended their first IHSAA season with a tough loss to the St Joseph Indians by a score of 5-0.
The Cougars came out and fought hard the entire game against a very dominant Indians team. The Indians controlled the flow and pace of the game, with the Cougars settling in a defensive formation and ceding possession to the Indians. Sophomore Neal Johnson and Senior Griffen Onnink anchored the back line of the Cougars oh, and did an awesome job directing the defense. Freshman Colin Brennan turned in an excellent job on defense. Unfortunately, the Cougars allowed a quick four goals in the first 15 minutes of game, but after that the defense tightened up and held the Indians scoreless for the next 70 minutes of the game. The Indians put in a final goal with five minutes remaining in the game.
