The NPCC ladies competed in the New Prairie Invitational this morning, placing 8th amongst a field of 31 teams in their race. The team was led by Mikaela Wilson in a time of 21:13, followed by Janice Felker in 21:15. Jill Firanek, Natalie Klemczak, and Elise Zelasko rounded out the scoring five, while Raegan Bicker and Ella Sanford completed the true varsity (top 7) finishes. 9 girls ran PRs or season bests of some sort! Running all-time PRs were Mikaela Wilson, Raegan Bicker, and Sophia Hackett. Home course PRs were set by Janice Felker, Elise Zelasko, Ella Sanford, and Kinsley Aurenz. Natalie Klemczak ran a season best time, and Callie Miller ran a home course season best. Madison Mitchell, who is getting racing under her belt this season, had a great race where she felt strong throughout. Olivia Hardy and Cora Buss cruised up Agony Hill, looking so strong even during the hardest part of the course. Maci Allen was only a few seconds off of her home course PR! NPCC will take on the Culver Academies Invitational next weekend. A big thank you to all of our volunteers for making the meet a success! We couldn’t do it without y’all!
