Cougars Battle Hard but Fall to South Bend Adams 2-3 New Prairie boys tennis came up just short in a tight matchup with South Bend Adams, falling 2-3 on Tuesday evening. At the top of the lineup, #1 Singles player Graydon Long pushed his opponent in the first set but ultimately fell 6-7(2), 1-6 to Owen McNally. The Cougars picked up a point at #2 Singles, where Dylan Bishop delivered a steady performance, winning 6-2, 6-4 over Tristan Schelstraete. #3 Singles went the distance, with Austin Bishop rallying from a set down to earn a gritty 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory against Eli Linstromberg. In doubles play, the Cougars weren’t able to hang on despite competitive starts. At #1 Doubles, Braden Bachmann and Connor Tidwell dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 0-6, 3-6 match to Albert Wagoner and Michael Curtis. #2 Doubles also went three sets, with Kaleb Meadows and Jon Woodham falling 6-3, 4-6, 1-6 to Brayden White and Elliott Jackson.
