New Prairie welcomed the John Glenn Falcons to our courts tonight, with the Falcons coming away with a 3-2 victory. The Cougars picked up two varsity wins in singles. At #1 Singles, Braden Bachmann defeated Drennon Nance 6-2, 6-0. At #3 Singles, Austin Bishop earned a 6-2, 6-4 win over George Gusiella. At #2 Singles, Jon Woodham battled Levi Litteral before falling 4-6, 3-6. In doubles, Gabe Banicki and Ell McDonald fell 6-7, 3-6 at #1 Doubles, while Grayson Goodman and Joey Smith lost a hard-fought match at #2 Doubles, 7-6, 2-6, 3-6. The Cougars also picked up several wins on the JV level. JD Straup and Troy Straup teamed up for a 6-2 win, while Konner Collins won 6-4, Riley Wilczynski won 6-3, and Charlie Hojnacki earned a 7-5 victory. New Prairie will hit the road tomorrow as the Cougars travel to North Judson to take on the Blue Jays.
