NPCC's Lady Cougars finished 4th in a field of 15 teams this morning at the Panther Run Invitational at Prairie Heights. The team got the opportunity to race against new schools that we typically don't see on our schedule throughout the season. Top 20 finishers earning a medal included Janice Felker (13th; 20:50), Elise Zelasko (15th; 20:56), and Mikaela Wilson (20th; 21:17). 6 ladies earned new PRs, including Elise Zelasko, Raegan Bicker (21:48), Kenna Barnhart (23:20), Lexi Hyatte (26:24), Sophie Hackett (30:11), and Jessica Wodecki in her debut 5K (36:57). Another 8 ladies earned new season best times -- Mikaela Wilson, Jill Firanek (22:34), Ava Schelstraete (22:59), Natalie Klemczak (23:28), Afton Maynes (23:41), Cora Buss (24:47), Chloe Woodrick (26:13), and Maci Allen (28:50). Great efforts were also made by Ella Sanford (24:14; 1 second off of her SB), Madelyn Lower (26:03), Olivia Hardy (26:56; 3 seconds off of her SB), and Madison Mitchell (30:03). NPCC travels to West Lafayette for the Harrison Invitational next Saturday.
