New Prairie vs. La Porte The Cougars hosted the La Porte Slicers tonight in another early-season matchup. New Prairie battled throughout the evening, but ultimately fell 0-5 on the varsity courts. At No. 1 Singles, Braden Bachmann battled Clark Denger but fell 0-6, 0-6. At No. 2 Singles, Jon Woodham fought hard against Brooks Tonagal before falling 2-6, 0-6. At No. 3 Singles, Austin Bishop dropped a competitive match to Oscar Saban, 1-6, 4-6. At No. 1 Doubles, Gabe Banicki and Manny Medina fell to Sam Burden and Jacob Szponder, 0-6, 1-6. At No. 2 Doubles, Riley Wilczynski and Ell McDonald battled Kaden Wilczynski and Jai Verma before falling 1-6, 4-6. The Cougars did pick up a win at No. 1 JV Doubles, where Grayson Goodman and Joey Smith came away with an impressive 8-2 victory. The Cougars will be right back on the courts tomorrow, traveling to take on Michigan City High School at 4:30 p.m.
