The Cougars welcomed the Penn Kingsmen this evening for another early-season match. Varsity fell 0-5, while JV fell 0-8. Everyone had an opportunity to get on the court, making it a valuable night for the guys to gain match experience and continue developing. Varsity 1 Singles: Braden Bachmann fell to Dylan Albert 0-6, 1-6. 2 Singles: Jon Woodham lost to Josh Weaver 0-6, 0-6. 3 Singles: Austin Bishop was defeated by Harrison Striegel 0-6, 0-6. 1 Doubles: Gabe Banicki & Riley Wilczynski were outpaced by Aaron Yoon & Will Denniston 1-6, 0-6. 2 Doubles: Grayson Goodman & Ell McDonald came up short against Aaron Zhang & Max Shook 1-6, 1-6. It was a tough match on the scoreboard, but nights like this are important for a young team. Getting everyone match experience and putting the guys in competitive situations will pay off as the season progresses. The Cougars are back in action Saturday morning at home for our Early Season Rumble, beginning at 8:00 AM. Come out and support the team!
