The Cougars traveled to Mishawaka this evening to take on the Marian Catholic Knights. Everyone had an opportunity to compete, with the varsity squad falling just short, 2-3, and JV dropping a close 3-4 decision. Two of the varsity matches went the distance in exciting three-set battles. Varsity Results 1 Singles: Braden Bachmann (NP) battled Charles Madden (Marian) through a three-set thriller but ultimately fell 4-6, 6-1, 5-7. 2 Singles: Jon Woodham (NP) fell to Tommy Young (Marian) 3-6, 5-7. 3 Singles: Austin Bishop (NP) took care of business against Jackson Briones (Marian) with a 6-4, 6-4 victory. 1 Doubles: Gabe Banicki and Manny Medina (NP) earned a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Miles Smith and Kaden Reese (Marian). 2 Doubles: Grayson Goodman and Riley Wilczynski (NP) fought hard in another three-set battle but fell to Carter Reese and Brayden Mezzei (Marian) 7-5, 5-7, 4-6.
