The New Prairie boys track and field team put together a strong performance at the IHSAA Chesterton Sectional, capturing multiple top-eight scoring finishes across individual and relay events. Track Events Braden Bachmann led the distance charge for the Cougars, securing a pair of impressive runner-up finishes. Bachmann placed second in both the 1600-meter run (4:30.49) and the 3200-meter run (9:48.35). In the hurdle events, New Prairie captured two top-five finishes. Noah Oberle earned fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.93, while freshman Graham Wiard took fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 17.10.
