New Prairie competed at the IHSAA Chesterton Girls Sectional, crown-marking several top-eight scoring performances and advancing multiple entries to the Portage Regional. Track Events Bailey Futa scored in both hurdle events, placing fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.43) and third in the 300-meter hurdles (48.53) to automatically qualify for the regional meet. Aubrey Schelstraete also scored in the 300-meter hurdles, finishing seventh in 51.07. In the sprints, Isla Wood placed eighth in the 200-meter dash finals with a time of 27.67. Alexis Hyatte added an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 1:08.61. In the distance events, Janice Felker secured a regional qualifying berth in the 1600-meter run, finishing fifth overall with a time of 5:32.27. Relay Events All three relay teams finished in scoring positions, led by the regional-qualifying 4x800-meter relay team of Mikaela Wilson, Ella Sanford, Madelyn Lower, and Elise Zelasko, which placed fourth in 10:24.48. The other scoring relay performances included: 4x400-Meter Relay: 4th place (4:20.08) 4x100-Meter Relay: 6th place (53.76) Field Events In the high jump, Eliza Leslie tied for sixth place by clearing a height of 4-8.
