New Prairie JV vs Penn JV (8-7) Win Ava Myers drove in four runs on two hits to lead New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars past Penn JV 8-7. Myers singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the second inning, scoring two. Despite falling down by seven runs in the fifth inning, Penn JV tried to fight back. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Avery Sammetinger singled, scoring one run, Kherington Durk drew a walk, scoring one run, and Myers singled, scoring two runs. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Taylor Kopczinski singled, scoring one run, and Myers doubled, scoring two runs. Alex Miles locked in the circle for New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars. Myers and Sammetinger each collected two hits for the Cougars. New Prairie had patience at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Payten Pozywala, Hailey Albertson, and Durk led the team with two bases on balls each. The Cougars stole five bases in the game. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error.
