Lady Cougars Defeat Mishawaka 4-3

New Prairie Varsity Cougars took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 4-3 walk-off victory over Mishawaka. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when Beltran doubled, scoring one run. A sacrifice fly by Flagg put New Prairie Varsity Cougars on the board in the bottom of the fourth. Strakowski hit a sacrifice fly, which helped New Prairie Varsity Cougars tie the game at three in the bottom of the sixth. Humes earned the win for New Prairie Varsity Cougars. The starter surrendered seven hits and three runs over eight innings, striking out three and walking six. Strakowski led New Prairie Varsity Cougars with two runs batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Beltran went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead New Prairie Varsity Cougars in hits. New Prairie Varsity Cougars welcome Boone Grove on Monday for their next game.
