New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars beat Mishawaka Junior Varsity Cavemen 8-4. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars jumped out to the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Ava Myers doubled, scoring two runs, Hailey Albertson drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Kherington Durk singled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run. Avery Sammetinger earned the win for New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars. Alex Miles pitched two and one-third innings of zero-run ball for New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars in relief. The righty gave up one hit, striking out one and walking none. Myers went 1-for-4 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Durk led New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars with two hits in three at bats. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Albertson, Taylor Kopczinski, and Miles led the team with two free passes each. Myers and Miles each stole multiple bases for New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Brooklynn Gomez had the most chances in the field with nine.
