New Prairie JV outsted La Porte this evening 4-2. CJ Beckner pitched a complete game giving up 4 hits with 2 earned runs, 3 walks, 5 hit by pitch and 4 strikeouts. Leading the offense for the cougars was Jackson Dutcher going 2-3 with 2 singles and an RBI. Grant Laskowski went 2-4 with 2 singles, Caiden Hein went 1-3 with a single, Dayne Ryans went 1-2 with a single and CJ Beckner and Mason Bigler each had an RBI for the cougars. The play of the game was a double play by Jacob Waldron catching a fly ball in the outfield throwing out the runner at home who was tagging up. Catcher Mason Bigler made a great catch and tag to end the inning and give the cougars momentum.
