New Prairie JV vs Northridge JV Softball Junior Varsity vs Northridge High School (13-4) Win JV Lady Cougars went on a hitting spree. Analyn Keck drove in four runs on three hits to lead New Prairie past Northridge Junior Varsity Raiders 13-4 on Wednesday at Northridge High School. Keck singled in the fifth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the seventh inning, scoring two. The Cougars got on the board in the first inning after Kherington Durk singled, scoring one run. New Prairie jumped back into the lead in the top of the fourth inning after Ava Myers doubled , and Taylor Kopczinski singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars scored six runs on eight hits in the top of the fifth inning. Payten Pozywala singled, scoring one run, Kennedy Sehi tripled, scoring two runs, Kopczinski singled, scoring one run, and Keck singled, scoring two runs. Avery Sammetinger stepped in the circle first. Keck pitched two innings of zero-run ball for New Prairie in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out three and walking none. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars amassed 20 hits in the game. Hailey Albertson, Kopczinski, and Keck each collected three. Pozywala, Myers, Sehi, Brooklynn Gomez, and Sammetinger each collected multiple hits. Keck stole two bases. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Durk made the most plays with eight. New Prairie Junior Varsity Cougars will travel to Penn for their next game on Thursday.
