Wrestling Team Placed 6th at IHSAA State Finals

This was a historic weekend for the New Prairie wrestling program at the IHSAA State Finals. T he team finished in 6th place overall, which marks the highest finish in school history. Leading the way was MJ Staples, who capped off a perfect, undefeated season by winning his second consecutive state championship. James Hartleroad also had an incredible tournament, battling all the way to a 2nd place finish in the state. Jeffrey Huyvaert earned 5th place, cementing his legacy as a rare 4X state placer and solidifying his spot in the top 30 for all time wins in Indiana state history. Joining them on the podium was Aiden Fernandez, who put together a strong performance to take 5th place in his bracket.
