The Lady Cougars hosted Michigan City on Tuesday night. Another slow start found the team chasing from the start. With challenges finding a scoring rhythm, the team went into the half dow 27-14. Opening up the second half, the team found a little bit of momenteum and played even with the Wolves for the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was strong but time ran short and in the end the Cougars fell 42-45. Strong point guard play from sophomore Bailey Futa, scoring 17 points, pulling down 6 rebounds, and dictating the tempo of the game. Brooklynne Shepherd was the other player in double figures scoring 10 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Leading rebounders for New Prairie were Addi Luther with 13, Chloe Deutscher with 12, and Envy Hesch with 9 rebounds.
