IHSAA update of upcoming and pending IHSAA events:

 

 

Boys Basketball:  The boys basketball tournament remains postponed indefinitely.  As soon as we reach a determination about the tournament, the IHSAA will inform our membership and public immediately.

 

Boys & Girls Track: Participants, who have completed their ten pre-participation practices, will need to comply with IHSAA Bylaw 9-14, upon competing in contests:

5-10 days missed- 4 practices required

 -More than 10 consecutive days missed- 6 practices required

 – Reminder, only one pre-participation practice session may be counted on any one day.

-IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.1(c), regarding (2) waivers for non-school sponsored activity participation, are in effect, as the Authorized Contest Season has begun.

-A lesson, defined as an organized one-on-one instruction or practice in a sport, is in effect and must be compliant with IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.1(b).

 

Softball: Teams will need to comply with IHSAA Bylaw 101-1(c), prior to competing in contests. Teams will resume with the number of practices completed, prior to suspending school activities. The remaining number of practices required to complete is illustrated in letter (c) of the rule. Reminder, only one pre-participation practice session may be counted on any one day.

-Participation in non-School sponsored activities will not be permitted starting March 23rd, as this date is the first IHSAA Contest Date.

-Also, starting on March 23rd, a lesson, defined as an organized one-on-one instruction or practice in a sport, will be in effect and must be compliant with IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.2(b).

 

Baseball: Teams will need to have ten pre-participation practices prior to competing in contests. Reminder, only one pre-participation practice session may be counted on any one day.

-Participation in non-School sponsored activities will not be permitted starting March 30th, as this date is the first IHSAA Contest Date.

-Also, starting on March 30th, a lesson, defined as an organized one-on-one instruction or practice in a sport, will be in effect and must be compliant with IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.2(b).

 

 

Girls Tennis: Teams/Participants will need to have ten pre-participation practices prior to competing in contests. Reminder, only one pre-participation practice session may be counted on any one day.

-Also, starting on March 30th, a lesson, defined as an organized one-on-one instruction or practice in a sport, will be in effect and must be compliant with IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.1(b).

 

 

Boys Golf: Teams/Participants will need to have ten pre-participation practices prior to competing in contests. Reminder, only one pre-participation practice session may be counted on any one day.

-IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.1(c), regarding (2) waivers for non-school sponsored activity participation, will be in effect starting March 30th.

-Also, starting on March 30th, a lesson, defined as an organized one-on-one instruction or practice in a sport, will be in effect and must be compliant with IHSAA Bylaw 15-1.1(b).

-The Pace of Play Video requirement to watch with team members will be extended indefinitely to accommodate for potentially starting the season at a later time.

 

The IHSAA will render a decision about spring sport tournament series events as soon as possible.
